Under the patronage of Her Highness the Duchess of Hannover; sponsored by the French Institute, CFM Monaco, Suisscourtage, Les Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo and the Duchy of Monaco. Budapest can finally welcome the Monaco court ballet! This world-famous Monte-Carlo troupe looks back on great traditions and can trace its virtual family tree back as far as Dhiagilev and the Russian Ballet. In 1996 ensemble director Jean-Christophe Maillot created a choreography of lyrical beauty for Shakespeare’...s romantic tragedy and Prokofjev’s disturbingly masterful music. Mr Maillot is one of the most sought-after choreographers today, and countless troupes have put up his choreographies outside Monaco, from Manila to Cairo and from Brussels to Tokyo.
