Performers: Duna Arts Ensemble, Honvéd Dance Theatre, Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, former dancers of the SZOT and the Budapest Dance Ensembles as well as leading independent ensembles Editor-director: Tibor Galambos This gala evening has been mounted thanks to an initiative by the Association of Hungarian Art of Dance to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the birth of one of the great classical figures of Hungarian dance art, István Molnár. The show presents a selection from his dive...rse work. Of traditional dance pieces in the planned programme, besides the Old Hungarian Military Dance and Csardas we will see his Doboz Csárdás, and of his dramatic works, Bartók: Hungarian Pictures. His symphonic work will be represented by Kodály: Dances of Marosszék as well as the dance suite drawn from seven Hungarian regions, the Hungarian Picture Book.
