Antoni Gaudí was an architect with a profound Catholic faith. He never had a family, just his buildings. Perhaps this is why he created for everyone the Sagrada Familia, the Church of the Holy Family. His buildings address us all; they disclose the essence of architecture, music, rhythm and movement set in stone. Mixing different styles and materials, they create a perfect harmony. The Győr Ballet, with its contemporary classical ballet, attempts by exploiting the diversity of different culture...s, to present the life of Gaudi, his habits as well as four of his most important works. This is achieved with the aid of contemporary and other Spanish music, interwoven with the Hispanic mentality. In this work, the death of the architect does not symbolise mortality but the beginning of rebirth: the heritage in Gaudi’s works that have been bequeathed for eternity. Further performances: Festival Theatre April 24 (in the framework of Dance Forum 2009)
