At this joint evening by the Hungarian Ballet Theatre and the Czech South Bohemian Ballet Hungarian audience will have the first chance to see a masterpiece by the world famous Czech choreographer Jiří Kylián: “Un ballo”. This dance work utilises two of Ravel’s most beautiful works and is a true gem of contemporary ballet art. It has been played all over the world to great acclaim. Additionally, the two ensembles focus on a work by one of the most gifted of the younger generation of Czech dance..., Václav Kuneš. Having been taught in Jiři Kylián’s “workshop” this choreographer who now works with his own group has enjoyed great success with the piece in Europe’s leading dance centres and overseas. The audience can see one of his most successful pieces interpreted by the dancers of the Hungarian Ballet Theatre and the Czech South Bohemian Ballet. Besides these two great personalities of Czech dance, there will also be a première of a new work by the ballet director of the Hungarian Ballet Theatre, Attila Egerházi who is also artistic director of the South Bohemian Ballet. It will be performed by a joint company. On the second evening, audiences can enjoy one of his earlier works “Firebird”.
