Hungarian Rhapsody is the latest production to be premiered by the Ballet Company of Győr, its most important goal being to salute Franz Liszt, one of the greatest composers the world has seen. The evening consists of two parts. The juxtaposition of musical works from the 19th and 21st centuries provides an opportunity – with the music of Liszt as the catalyst – to introduce one young contemporary Hungarian composer and two young Hungarian choreographers through an interpretation of the 21st c...entury formal language of dance. Under the umbrella title of Hungarian Rhapsody, the evening’s first act will feature a choreographed piece to selected music by Franz Liszt, while the second act will feature a dance performed to Theodor Burkali’s work entitled Exit. The evening is thus an “Exit” to the larger world of the 21st century outside. Presented by the National Dance Theatre
