Contemporary art is soon to take on a leading role in Budapest. This year, the CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival will be held between 2 and 18 October, again organised jointly by Müpa Budapest, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre and Hungarian Tourism Inc. The series of events will celebrate Arvo Pärt, the Estonian composer who turns 80 this year, pay homage to Béla Bartók by scheduling various compositions by the great collector of Central European folk music and feature such international stars as Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and Russian violinist and conductor Sergei Krylov. Recirquel Contemporary Circus Company’s unique two-men show, Non Solus, will premier at the festival.

The full programme of the festival is available at www.cafebudapestfest.hu and CAFe Festival’s events that are held at Müpa Budapest are also listed on our website, under Programmes.

The organisers would like to reward the festival’s returning visitors: the more programmes they select from our offer, the larger discount will be available on ticket prices for those who purchase their tickets in person at one of the festival’s official points of sale, including the ticket offices of Müpa Budapest.
